July 2010: Stefan & Lisa, thanks for a wonderful time and lots of laughs at Rouxinol again. Visiting you makes a holiday complete - keep up the good work and that lovely raspberry pie! Not only is your food superb, but you make the whole experience a joy. I look forward to a future visit.

April 15/09 Stefan & Lisa Thanks so much for another delightful lunch. Even though the weater outside wasn´t great it give me the chance to sit by your fire in the best fireplace in the Algarve! Your hospitality is great and your house specialities have a real flare. As always, the Carrot Soup was exellent the Pork was tender, the Mushroom Sauce was both rice and deeply flavored and the side slaws were a crunchy, sweet & sour treat. The panna Cotta was sublime. I´ll definitely be back on my next trip. It is getting so that a visit to Portugal isn´t complete without a visit to you & Lisa at the beautiful Restaurant Cafe Rouxinol

The best view over the mountains!
I have been in Rouxinol on 2007, and at the time, the view to the moutain was soberb. Nice terrace to lay and relax with a hot or cold drink. Thanks

O Rouxinol Monchique

Here the fire blazes in the winter, and in the summer the terrace welcomes you to sit and look at the beautiful mountains, whilst breathing in the heady aroma of the eucalyptus trees. The delightful menu includes the house speciality - melt-in-the-mouth Alentejo lamb. Whatever else you have here at O Rouxinol, do leave space fore the Raspberry Tart!
